Jamie Andrews - Childcare Director

Jamie has been with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Childcare since March 2008.  She was a stay at home mom for many years, raising her children Brady and Bryce.  She then had the opportunity to become part of the staff at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Jamie has progressed from Lead Teacher to Director of Childcare in August 2018.  She attended Marian College in Fond du Lac Wisconsin for Early Childhood Education.  In her spare time she is with family and friends.  The highlight of her job is seeing the smiles on all the children's faces as they enter the classroom and run to hug her.  Her passion at work is telling the children about Jesus and all the wonderful things he has done for us all.

Ashley Christensen - Childcare Lead Teacher

She has been with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Childcare since February 2018.  In 2015, she graduated from Case High School in Racine, Wisconsin.  She has always loved working with children.  She started as a babysitter and has been a nanny for years.  Recently she has been promoted to Lead Teacher in the classroom.  Ashley looks forward to greeting and caring for each and every child that walks into her classroom.

Tristen Hutchins - Childcare Teacher

Tristen has been working with children since she was 16 years old.  She likes adventures, late nights with friends around a bonfire, trying new food, movies, music, fashion & makeup, cars and the smell of crisp fall air.  Some of my favorite things are tacos, photography and art.

Clara Higgins - Childcare Teacher

Clara was born and raised in Granite City, Illinois and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.  She married a man in the Navy and moved to Virginia for 7 months.  They then moved to Italy for 3 years, where their daughter Stephanie was born.  Then moved back home and settled in Great Lakes, Illinois where their son, Scott was born.  4 years passed and they were off to San Diego for 7 years, where she began a career with insurance.  They moved back to Zion, Illinois where Clara continued her insurance career.  After working 20 years it was time for a less stressful lifestyle.  Clara and  husband, George enjoy the many blessings in their lives including camping, fishing, gardening and spending precious time with their grandchildren, Isabella and Penelope in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois.  They are members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Clara began working with Good Shepherd Childcare in October of 2012.  She loves being around the children, watching them grow and learn.  She doesn't even mind some of them calling her "grandma"!
