Opening Hymn: LSB 397 As With Gladness, Men of Old

Psalm 96

Creed (Back Cover)

Lord’s Prayer (Back Cover)

1) Seven Woes

a) Woe to the scribes and Pharisees

i) How do they shut the kingdom of heaven?

ii) What about those they convert?

(1) How does this explain why Jesus calls them “blind guides?”

(2) How do they completely miss the point of faith?

iii) What’s easier about tithing than being merciful?

(1) How does Jesus make this point when speaking to washing?

(2) How does one truly become clean?

b) How will Pharisees and scribes show their true colors (unbelief)?

i) What will finally happen to Jerusalem?

ii) Why?
